This is the Tetrio sphinx , well that's just one of its very fancy names, in Barbados this strange alien looking creature has been named the Frangipani worm or the Rasta caterpillar.. I think I'll call it the fangipani caterpillar , it sounds less like it will jump off the branch and turn me in to food. Although it looks like a giant maniac of the caterpillar world as if his bright colours are a warning it isn't poisonous and they present no threat to crops either. At around 6 inches you can see there little features so clearly , that definitely creeps me out. This will turn into moths as most caterpillars and re named playfully as the mollyboobie by islanders.
